He makes the argument for consumer driven health care, focusing attention in particular on the market distortions introduced by comprehensive health insurance. Typically, the argument against health insurance mandates is that they make people buy a Mercedes, when they would prefer to buy a Honda. For him, the main problem with overly comprehensive health insurance is that it reduces efficiency and undermines quality.
